Saturday, April 15th from 9-1 pm
This 4-hour class will cover basic open-hand self-defense. No use of firearms is involved.
Students will learn to physically defend themselves during close-quarters encounters by using strikes, standing escapes, and defenses from the ground in a safe and friendly environment. No fancy tricks, just practice, and determination are all you need!
All students are highly encouraged, but not required to participate in the physical portion of this class. This will be a physically active class, so please dress comfortably. The instructor will work around any injury and aims to find each student’s strengths. (strong kicks, elbows, etc.).
There will be a short break, feel free to bring water & snacks as needed. The minimum age for this class is 13 years old & must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
This class is taught by instructor Cari King, who has been training in Martial Arts since 1996 and has been teaching Women’s Self Defense for 15 years. She has been studying with Rockpile Dojo for 10 years and currently holds a Brown Belt in Kenpo Karate and a Blue Belt in BJJ. Cari will discuss tools you can use to defend yourself in your surroundings, situational awareness, personal empowerment, and much more.
