This 6.5-hour class covers firearm safety and shooting fundamentals. Learn to safely handle and accurately shoot a firearm in a comfortable learning environment. This course covers proper loading of a firearm, stance and grip, sight picture, trigger control, and presenting the firearm on target. You will also learn how to draw and re-holster a firearm, how to clear malfunctions, and how to reload your firearm. All skills are first practiced dry in the classroom before refining them on the range. This is a physically active class; you will be shooting 100 rounds and performing multiple repetitions of various drills.
The cost of the class includes the use of a rental firearm, holster, and ammunition. Eye and ear protection are also provided. Students will need a sturdy, 1 ½” belt, close-toed shoes, and a high-neck shirt that can be tucked in.
