Have you taken a basic pistol class and would like to develop your self-defense skills? This 8-hour class will help you to be better prepared. You will spend 4 hours on the range developing your draw from concealment and improving your accuracy, one-handed shooting, clearing malfunctions, decision making, and safely handling a firearm in an active environment. In the classroom, you will learn how to avoid being the victim of a violent attack. You will learn how to spot criminal behavior, how to develop your awareness skills so you can avoid trouble, using mild-force options such as pepper spray, and the legal rights and responsibilities of using deadly force for personal protection.
Required Equipment:
- Eye & ear protection + everyday attire for concealment
- A reliable firearm you are comfortable shooting 300 rounds through
- Minimum 2 spare magazines
- A sturdy belt with a rigid holster either inside or outside the waistband; please, no Serpa holsters
- 300 rounds of brass cased, TMJ, or FMJ ammunition.
As this is an advanced firearms class, you will need to have one of the following: attended all 3 classes in the Friday Night Drills series or hold a USPSA card, or have taken Handgun Fundamentals with Rick Remington.
Cost: $249 providing your own ammo & equipment
